Operation of the After Government Employment Advice Repository (AGEAR) System
Description:
As the DoD Executive Agent, the Secretary of the Army is responsible for operating, maintaining, managing, and funding the After Government Employment Advice Repository (AGEAR) system. Mandated by §847 of the FY08 NDAA (P.L. 110-181), the DoD is required to retain written requests and the applicable written opinions for designated current and former DoD personnel regarding the applicability of postemployment restrictions to activities that they may undertake on behalf of a DoD contractor. AGEAR, a secure web-based application developed by the Army Office of General Counsel, was developed to capture and store opinions required under §847.
