Counter-Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-sUAS) for Unmanned Aircraft Groups 1, 2 and 3
Description:
1) Lead and direct C-sUAS doctrine, requirements, materiel, and training standards and capabilities to establish joint solutions with a common architecture to address current and future emerging Small UAS threats. 2) In accordance with DoDD 7045.14, "The Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution Process," the DoD EA will plan, program, and budget for the research and development of Groups 1-through-3 C-sUAS capabilities, with cost shared equitably among Services as appropriate to address DoD and Service C-sUAS requirements. 3) Lead the development of C-UAS joint doctrine, working with the Services and Joint Staff, in alignment with the Department' s C-sUAS Strategy. 4) Assume responsibility for the research, development, acquisition and management of common C-sUAS requirements with oversight of Military Service-developed unique requirements. 5) Designate, as appropriate, the acquisition executive(s) responsible and other responsibilities as required to transition capabilities acquired through rapid acquisition into traditional budget, requirements, and acquisition process as well as the production, sustainment, and support of new C-UAS acquisitions. 6) Develop required training programs and curriculums for C-sUAS. 7) Coordinate with the DoD EA and the Chief Management Officer of the DoD to publish a DoDD assigning the EA for C-sUAS (Groups 1-3) and providing the Military Departments and Combatant Commands with the forum to develop policies and tools necessary to minimize risks posed by sUAS employment.
