Unified Platform and Joint Cyber Command and Control

The Secretary of the Air Force is designated as the Department of Defense Executive Agent for Unified Platform and the Cyber Situational Awareness and Battle Management System. The Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment (USD(A&S)) will serve as the Principal Staff Assistant designated to oversee the Executive Agent. The primary purpose of the Unified Platform is to integrate disparate platforms used for military cyberspace operations, existing or evolving systems, infrastructure, mission capabilities, data analytics, and programs to build an interoperable and scalable network of cyber capabilities. The Unified Platform will allow the Cyber Mission Force (CMF) to be interoperable and interconnected, and to conduct integrated planning and execution of the full spectrum of cyberspace operations. The primary purpose of Joint Cyber Command and Control (C2) is to deliver integrated solutions to decision makers, planners, analysts, and operators at all Joint Cyber C2 echelons.
