As the DoD Executive Agent, the Secretary of the Army is responsible for matters pertaining to U.S. military participation in, and support to, the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO), which was established by the Egyptian-Israeli Protocol of August 1981 to supervise the security arrangements as specified by the Egyptian-Israeli Treaty of Peace.
