DoD Cyber Crime Center (DC3)
Description:
As the DoD Executive Agent, the Secretary of the Air Force (SECAF) is responsible for the DoD Cyber Crime Center (DC3), with the following responsibilities: establish and maintain DC3 as an entity within the Department of the Air Force; provide DC3 funding and manpower in coordination with the DoD CIO and the Executive Director, DC3; assign personnel to DC3 in accordance with approved authorizations and established procedures for detail or assignment to joint duty; appoint the Executive Director, DC3; and assist the Director, DC3, with the assistance of USD(P&R), in developing and executing strategic human capital management plans to ensure D3 is properly staffed with employees with the requisite skills and competencies needed to perform DC3 mission requirements. This EA incorporates previous EA designations for the operation of the DC3 Computer Forensics Laboratory, Cyber Investigations Training Academy, Analytical Group, Defense Industrial Base Collaborative Information Sharing Environment, Technical Solutions Development, and the Vulnerability Disclosure Program.
