Description:

As the DoW Executive Agent, the Secretary of the Air Force is responsible for the development, establishment, operation and maintenance of the facility at Forward Operating Location (FOL) Curaçao. USSOUTHCOM will review and refine the FOL plan during the expeditionary phase of operations to ensure an optimum combination of effectiveness and efficiency for DoW and interagency air operations. Note: The FOL at Manta, Ecuador, was closed as of September 18, 2009.

Title: The title of the Executive Agent assignment from the designating document.  This may not always be the same as the title of the designating issuance.  Description: The general purpose and scope of the assignment.Date Assigned: The date of the designating document or specific date the Executive Agent assignment became effective, if different.Expiration Date: Date specified, if applicable, that the Executive Agent responsibilities end.Review Date: Typically three to five years after the assignment.  This date should be used to determine the validity of the Executive Agent assignment and whether it should be continued.Signature: The signatory of the designating document.  Executive Agents may only be assigned by either the Secretary of War (SW) or the Deputy Secretary of War (DW).Principal Staff Function: Each Executive Agent assignment has a Principal Staff Assistant (PSA) assigned to it for oversight and monitoring.Joint Staff Function: The Joint Staff directorate that applies to the function or mission of the Executive Agent.DoW Component: The Head of a DoW Component assigned as Executive Agent.Agency: The Head of the DoW Component assigned the Executive Agent responsibility will normally assign the duties of performing the functions to an agency within his Component.  If this has been done the Agency will be blank.Office: The office within the Agency that is assigned to carryout the Executive Agent responsibilities.Executive Agent POC: An individual within the responsible Agency who has been assigned to monitor the Executive Agent assignment.  This would be the person to contact for specific Executive Agent information.Primary Document: The issuance making the Executive Agent assignment and signed by the individual entered in the "Signature" entry.  The document typically will be a memorandum, directive, or instruction and will include the Executive Agent designation.Primary Document Location: Location of the Primary Document.  If it can be found on the Internet the URL will be linked.  If it is hard copy only the office holding a copy will be entered.Primary Document Date:  Issue date of the Primary DocumentSecondary Document: In some cases the Primary Document may be a memorandum designating the Executive Agent, but contains little or no details concerning specific responsibilities.  In this case a Secondary Document may be listed to further spell out the Executive Agent duties and responsibilities.Secondary Document Location: Location of the Secondary Document.  If they can be found on the Internet the URL will be linked.  If it is hard copy only the office holding a copy will be entered.Secondary Document Date: Issue date of the Secondary Document.DoW Component POC: The Point of Contact for the component.  This POC tracks all the Executive Agent assignments for the component.Review Date: Enter date in M/D/YYYY format. Attachments: If required to provide additional information
