Description:
As the DoD Executive Agent, the Director, DIA is responsible for diplomatic security matters for all Non-combatant DoD elements operating under the authority of the Chief of Mission to include, but not limited to, Defense Attaché Offices and Security Assistance Organizations. The Director, DIA is responsible for disseminating the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the DoD and the Department of State on diplomatic security at US missions abroad, and complying with the Attorney General of the US memorandum for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) supervision and conduct of espionage investigations of all U.S. personnel assigned to these missions.
